Duchess of Cambridge edits Huffington Post
Kate Middleton Will Guest Edit the Huffington Post For a Day
Many people around the world may think Kate Middleton just swans about, talking about swans, having nice hair, and telling people in the street 'I'M A PRINCESS, BASICALLY'. Those people are wrong. Well, maybe. Maybe Kate does do all of those things. But she also does other big, important things, like charity work, and taking on causes she really cares about.
This time in 'The Duchess of Cambridge doing things', it's been announced that for one day only, Kate Middleton will work as the editor ofThe Huffington Post. Yep, she's guest editing the website for a day in mid-February - and FYI, that's the first time the site has EVER been entirely guest-edited by one person.*
*This site's Lifestyle section was guest-edited by the brilliant Jameela Jamil in March last year, though, so Kate isn't alone in the 'cool women guest-editing parts or the whole of TheHuffington Post' crew.
But Kate won't just be taking over to add more corgi videos to the homepage, or shove Pippa's recipes all over the food section. The whole reason behind the guest-editing gig is so that Kate can put a spotlight on an issue she feels very passionately about: mental health.
Kate will commission figures from the mental health sector and the general public, for a large-scale project on children's mental health, explored through the website.
Huffington Post's UK editor-in-chief, Stephen Hull, said: "We are thrilled that the Duchess of Cambridge is joining the HuffPost UK team for a day as a guest editor.
